Air Conditioning Repair

$89.00 every year or $6,905.00 year five years!

This seems like a strange head line for a blog but it is it true none the less. A new client of mine decided that they did not need to pay for the installing contractor of the air conditioning system for yearly maintenance on the system. So two things happened their air conditioner failed during the first heat wave of the session and the contractor that installed their system went out of business which they did not know until the call his number and it was out of service.

That left them to the wild world of google and a long list of contractors to choose from. Lucky for me they pick my company and we were happy to help them. The story does not stop here oh no, do to lack of changing the filter and having the refrigerant charge check on the condensing unit( the thingy that sits on the side of your house) The indoor coil froze over and slug the compressor with liquid refrigerant braking every valve in the compressor.

Now here is where the fun begins, now the customer is looking at replacing a compressor, refrigerant, metering device and deicing a frozen coil, cost $6,905.00 for the repair. This could have been avoided and be a lot less pain if they paid $89.00 a year for a tune-up, lesson learned the hard way. As always email any questions to marc@dyanmicairsystems.net
